New single “HONEY” breaks out in the charts & speaks of breaking away from the status quo of being the norm.
Former Echuca based Musician Gareth Leach has just released his latest single “Honey” with it skyrocketing onto the charts at No1. spot amongst the likes of Willie Nelson, Dollie Parton, Benny Allen, Kenny Rogers & Billy Ray Cyrus.
Not only being in great company on the charts but also in the studio with the likes of The Davisson Brothers & Michaela Jenke Gareth has gone about creating and producing his latest forthcoming album Trigger out of the Riverina town of Deniliquin at a local studio named “The Shack” The Shack is a state of the art recording studio specialising in fostering the artists vision of telling their songs and stories, with particular focus on the use and implementation of analog equipment during both the tracking and mixing processes and with that Gareth Jumped right to it in the studio with the shacks variety of tools at his disposal especially after having his own industry engineering experience at the Former Studio One in Collingwood he set himself to the task at The Shack of building & feeling out the album he has envisioned for his latest release.

Honey is all the good, sweet and gooey stuff in life, how fragile it all is – and largely dependent on money. Society places a certain (and for most people unrealistic) expectation on us and what we need to achieve “self-worth” and to live a “successful life” in this largely narcissistic, secularist and nihilistic post millennial world.
Own a house, have “X” amount of kids, have this much money, be “stable”. Honey is raising your middle-finger at these preconceptions and my way of saying that I want to live my life without externally injected anxiety and pressure.
The artwork directly symbolises this ethos with the almost embedded rebellious nature
of real country music through the outlaws such as Haggard, and who could forget the
iconic images of Johnny Cash’s “flipping the bird”; which is represented by the strength
of “the hive”. The perfectly geometrical and naturally occurring the hexagonal shape
which symbolises strength, balance, truth and sincerity, which is the overall message
of the song – being true to yourself and finding strength and balance in life without the
need to be phased by such antiquated views
★ Debuted at #1 on Australian iTunes Country Chart ★
