Renmarks Murray Riverfront & Waterways are set to come alive this February!!!
Renmark’s riverfront’s Red Bull Dinghy Derby & Renmark Clubs Dash’4’Cash is back for 2018 and features a record number of 102 competiting boats that have all registered and are vying to take out the title & with it the claim to fame of winning the coveted $5 trophies for 2018.
For those that don’t know, the Riverland Dinghy Derby has earned its position as a not-to-be-missed event that provides some of the most unique, and action-packed racing for both participants and spectators alike.
Since 1981 the Dinghy Derby has been the pinnacle of dinghy racing in the world!
Held over 100km in the Murray river and unique creek systems around Renmark in South Australia, the Dinghy Derby is now round 2 of the Magic 931 championship series. Teams race for the glory of becoming one of the selected few to win this prestigious race on the first Sunday in February each year.
The Derby caps off a huge weekend of racing with the Renmark Club Dash’4’Cash held at the Renmark water front, under lights on the Friday night.
All over the world, the humble little dinghy boat is the safe and simple introduction to boating for millions of people. Not in the town of Renmark, however. There, in the otherwise sleepy town, they like to strap souped-up outboard engines to their little dinghies and race them at high speed down a 100km span of Australia’s iconic Murray River. In 2016, Red Bull Dinghy Derby recorded its biggest competitive field in its 36 year history. Sunday’s race attracted a field of over 90 boats that tackled the grueling 95km course

Friday 2nd February – 2018 Renmark Club Dash ‘4’ Cash
The Renmark Club Dash 4 Cash will be conducted on the water directly in front to the Renmark Club on Friday 2nd February. The Dash 4 Cash in an ideal event for family viewing with the added bonus of no entry fees. Please come along and view the event on the spacious lawned areas, surrounding the club.
Racing will commence at 12 noon commencing with the 15HP and finishes with the final race around 10pm
Remember to bring your chairs or blankets.
Catering
Service Clubs and fast food outlets will in operation throughout the night. A wide range of food and drinks will be on sale.
The Renmark Club and Balcony area are also ideal to have meal and view the race.
