A Days Work Crew create event to showcase the regions talents!

Echuca Moama has an new performance arts festival “The Flood” festival presented by A Days Work on Saturday 30th of JUNE is the first of many instalments for the group raising start-up for their Flood Community Arts Program (FCAP). The aim behind FCAP is to raise the profile & experience of local art in the community, become a incubation space for up and coming artists by hosting events/exhibitions, workshops and offering extra curriculum to schools & the community.

On stage, A Days Work consists of Liam ‘Rabb’ Guinan & Georgina Bish on vocals with Jesse Stevenson as DJ. To date ADW has perfomed only 3 shows in as many years. Only playing free gigs on Christmas Eve in town playing at The Gypsy Bar, Harvest Hotel & American Hotel respectively.

Together they have blurred the lines between a DJ set and a live performance constantly improving and building on their foundations, focussing on creating an upbeat, heartfelt, party atmosphere. Attention to detail of stage, lights, music and performance as well as entire campaign, ADW has purposefully remained slightly mysterious in an attempt to recreate the magical feeling of attending a big time event but with familiarity of coming from local faces. No genre of music is off limits from hip hop, rap, R’n’B, pop to electro, rock, classics to folk.

ADW prides it’s ability to adapt and create a energy based around being completely unpredictable adhearing to no set rules or social boundries. Not afraid to push boundries and make statements whilst cherishing every moment and appreciating every song for what it is. Sit on the edge of your seat because you don’t know what will happen next!

In Addition to a live set from A Days Work, artists featuring at this event include Benny Walker, Josh Rawiri, Sean Orr, Daniel Aaron, Colour Court, Drew Walker, Bertrand, Alley Cat and Tahir & Philapino. Most artist have their own solo timeslot whilst also a huge effort for collaboration throughout the whole night will see a constant change of faces on the stage.
